Repeat after me…Mooncycle Chocolate Ghee is my friend. Not only is this beloved blend a potent medicine, it also tastes like - dare I say it?! - a superfood variation of Nutella that you don’t have to feel guilty about eating by the spoonful!
Mooncycle was the first Goddess Ghee Adaptogen blend, and has been the most popular flavor of Goddess Ghee to date (and for very tasty reasons).
I’ve always enjoyed the delicious decadence of Mooncycle - but I was really sold on it when I was experiencing massive cramps during one of my moon-cycles. I got myself to the kitchen, made a cup of Red Raspberry Leaf tea and stirred in a heaping spoonful of Mooncycle Ghee. Within minutes my cramps were completely gone!
This medicine is mindfully crafted to support women’s cycles - but there are many benefits that support a vibrant sense of well being in all of us! Anyone can enjoy Mooncycle Ghee. My son even regularly asks me, “Can I have Mooncycle for my sweet treat?” I hand him a teaspoon with a little scoop of Mooncyle and he’s smiling as if he just got away with stealing cookies from the cookie jar!
What makes this beautiful blend so tasty?
Raw Cocao magic that pulls you down deep. Creamy, rich, golden ghee made from cows grazing on green pastures. Kisses of Raw Appalachian Honey and infusions of Lavender. Three Ayurvedic Adaptogen herbs: Shatavari, Maca, & Ashwagandha to promote hormonal health. Gracefully sent to your kitchen with a sweet little rosebud.
The Mooncycle Scoop:::
Goddess Ghee is made from grassfed butter and contains high amounts of vitamins A, D, E and K. Ghee is one of the highest natural food sources of butyric acid and conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) – an antioxidant with anti-viral properties that can protect against arterial plaque, cancer and diabetes. Goddess Ghee makes all of their ghee in small batches, using high quality butter from Banner Butter and adding in lots of love.
Mooncycle Ghee is blended with Cacao, Lavender, Vanilla bean, Sea salt, and our special blend of Adaptogenic herbs: Shatavari, Ashwaganda, and Maca.
What is an Adaptogen and why is it beneficial?
Adaptogens are herbs and mushrooms that have a knack for working with our bodies needs. They are often known for ~regulating~ the body. Want to boost your immune system, balance hormones and increase mental clarity? Delve a little deeper and discover what adaptogen suits your current state of being.
Shatavari Root Powder is derived from the Asparagus Racomotus plant. An oestrogen regulator, Shatavari also stimulates and balances the production of happy hormones; endorphins, serotonin and dopamine. Shatavari has been said to be an aphrodesiac as it increases blood flow to sexual organs. an excellent herb for cleansing the gut. Shatavari may improve digestion by increasing the activity of digestive enzymes lipase and amylase. Lipase aids fat digestion whereas amylase helps with the digestion of carbohydrates. This is thought to be due to steroidal plant compound contained within the root "sapogenin", a potent immune stimulator.
Ashwagandha Root Powder: Research studies have shown that ashwagandha increases white blood cell counts, platelet counts, stem cells in the bone marrow and the amount and diversity of antibodies produced in the body. Ashwagandha can be both calming and energizing, as well as help the body respond to stress. Ashwagandha is also known for its ability to increase libido and fertility.
Maca Root Powder is native to the Andes mountain range. Maca has long been used by the indigenous peoples of this region to promote sexual function and fertility. The Incans used Maca in many of their natural remedies, specifically to enhance energy, increase stamina, endurance and strength. Maca is also known as “food for your endocrine glands”. The endocrine system is the collection of glands that produce hormones responsible for regulating metabolism, growth and development, tissue function, sexual function, reproduction, sleep, mood and response to stress and/or injury. A powerful adaptogen, these qualities are due to glucosinolates, plant alkaloids within Maca root which help your endocrine system do its job.
